- Determine what type of presentation you are doing
- Below are standard template types for Indesign that we have

- After selecting template type
- Open the template file
- Do a “Save as” and change the file name to Current Date & Project Name/Number/Meeting/Phase/etc.
- Save the file in the Project Folder > C) Presentations > Respective Presentation Folder
- Edit the Master Pages
- Note: These pages should always be updated first, some information may get added/updated as the project is worked through
- Edit the following on the “A-Text and Images” page
- Project Name at the bottom
- Location at the bottom (City and State)
- Meeting Phase and Date bottom right
- When exporting drafts update the “Draft” block with the date of the draft export
- Add a smaller logo of the company
- Edit the following on the “B-Title – No ToC” page
- Project Name/Headline
- Colors should match/compliment the company logo
- Project Phase/Subheadline
- This can be tucked above or below headline
- Colors should match/compliment company logo
- Edit the Address at the bottom
- If there is no specific numbered address put the City, State, & Zip Code
- Edit the Meeting Name & Meeting Date in the bottom right
- Change out temp logo for a logo of the company
- This logo should be a vector
- If there is no logo leave blank or add visioning image or google earth image to background at a light opacity
- Project Name/Headline
- Edit the following on the “D-Back Cover” page
- Change the Primary Contact
- Ask project lead who this person would be!
- There are typicals set up already:
- Bill
- Marissa
- Mike
- Change the Primary Contact
- Edit the following on the “B-Title ToC” page
- NOTE: Not every project used the ToC page, talk with the project lead if this is required, it does not hurt to fill out the basic info for potential future use
- Project Name/Headline
- Project Phase/Subheadline
- This can be tucked above or below headline
- Colors should match/compliment company logo
- Edit the Address at the bottom
- If there is no specific numbered address put the City, State, & Zip Code
- Edit the Meeting Name & Meeting Date in the bottom right

- As you work through the presentation/project update the Table of Contents as needed
- NOTE: For all of these edits make sure they are edited on the pages when working through document!
- Determine what pages you do not need
- There are two options for trimming down what pages you need
- You can either delete them entirely from the file
- Or you can right click on what pages you do not need in the pages tab and click hide
- This will hide the page from you but it will remain in the file in the pages tab
- If you wish to still see the pages in the editing space you can click on the page hidden page in the pages tab and select “Show Hidden Spreads”
