Intersect partnered with Southern Michigan Bank & Trust and AVB to convert the old Gillespie Funeral Home into the new Southern Flats Apartments at 27 Marshall Street in Coldwater. The project encompasses a complete interior renovation to create seven apartment units while preserving a significant piece of Michigan’s architectural history. Crown molding, stained glass doors, built-in cabinets were preserved and reused to maintain the historic elements originally designed by the architect Robert C. Spencer, Jr., a contemporary of Frank Lloyd Wright.
