Template Name
The “$” at the beginning of the name indicates an Intersect Studio standard file. The “I” and the “S” are combined in the $ symbol. Short and sweet. The next part “AC27v01” indicates that the template is designed for Archicad version 27 and is the the first office template version “v01”. Then of course the word “Template” helps to further identify the purpose of the file. Make sure the file you use as a template ends with *.tpl and NOT *.pln. if you begin with the pln file, you will be modifying the the prototype for the template. Nevertheless, the pln file will be stored separately to avoid any accidental file editing.
$-AC27v.01-Template.tpl
To start out the file is set up so that Tools (Wall, Roof, Floor) create a model with a single generic material, plain doors and a fixed window type. It is geared to allow a less experienced Archicad designer, present in front of a client without distractions. Simple SD title block is used for 1/8” scale presentations. But all of the CD sheets are also set up already.
