Drawing Sheet Structure #
The concept of the drawing sheet structure acknowledges both disciplines equally; the interiors information is parallel to the architectural information. The logic is that:
100 level sheets are for plans
200 level sheets are for elevations
300 level sheets are for sections and details
400 level sheets are for schedules and data.
This format also works well for both large and small scale projects without skipping or regrouping drawing sheets, thus, providing consistency between projects.
General Information #
This is for the main Cover/Title Sheet, General Notes, Specifications, ADA, Building Code, Zoning, 3D views and Sheet Index. This will begin with G100 as the cover and sheets would be added as needed sequentially G101, G102…
Architectural #
This category is to present information that is specifically related to Architectural design and building construction, Site layouts, demolition, floor plans, roof plans, exterior elevations, building sections wall sections & details Door and window schedules
- A000 Existing Contions A site is an existing condition for a new project (AS00). Demolitions sheets will fall under this category as an existing building has selected elements to be removed for new constriction.
- A100 Floor Plans This category is to present information that is specifically related to floor plans, roof plans, enlarged floor plans, and reflected ceiling plans.
- A200 Exterior Elevations This category is to present information that is specifically related to exterior building elevations
- A300 Sections – Building, Wall, Detail This category is to present information that is specifically related to cut views into building conditions such as whole building sections, wall section cuts, and various details used to help explain how a building is designed and constructed.
- A400 Schedules Door and window schedules, which will also include door, frame elevations and possibly related details for smaller projects.
Interiors #
This category is to present information that is specifically related to Interior design, finishes, furniture, interior elevations, details of trim and custom casework, product cut sheets, finish schedules
- I100 Plans for Finishes and Furniture This category is to present information that is specifically related finish and furniture plans.
- I200 Interior Elevations This category is to present information that is specifically related to interior elevations.
- I300 Details: Interiors & Finishes
- I400 Schedules This category is to present information that is specifically related to product finish schedules, furniture schedules, cut sheets.
